Digital Media Awards Extends 2026 Entry Deadline to October 5
Under the revised schedule, submissions will remain open until 11:59 PM on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Creative agencies, brands, publishers and digital content creators across East Africa have been given additional time to submit their work for this year’s Digital Media Awards, following an extension of the entry deadline to Monday, October 5, 2026.
The extension follows a surge in demand and requests from entrants seeking additional time to finalise their submissions and present their strongest campaigns, projects and digital work from the past year.
The Digital Media Awards recognise creativity, innovation and effectiveness across the region’s rapidly evolving digital and creative economy, covering areas such as digital marketing, content creation, social media, publishing, technology, design and media.
According to Brian Njagi, Chairman of the Digital Media Awards Committee, the awards have so far attracted 186 entries, bringing the total to just under 200.
“We have seen an exceptional caliber of entries so far, reflecting the rapid evolution and creative depth of our digital ecosystem. We are just under 200 entries. The number of entries as at now is 186,” Njagi said.
He added that the extension was intended to give more creatives, agencies and brands an opportunity to put forward work they believe represents their strongest achievements during the eligible awards period.
The awards span several disciplines, including Film & Film Crafts, Print & Print Crafts, Media & PR, Digital & Digital Crafts, Live Events & Sponsorships, Design & Design Crafts, and Radio & Audio Crafts.
Under the revised schedule, submissions will remain open until 11:59 PM on Monday, October 5, 2026. Eligible entries include campaigns, digital assets and projects produced within the specified awards period.
Entrants are required to complete their submissions online through the official Digital Media Awards portal at dma.africa.
The submitted work will be evaluated by a jury comprising regional industry experts and thought leaders. The winners are expected to be announced during the Digital Media Awards ceremony scheduled for December 11, 2026.
The deadline extension provides agencies, brands, publishers and individual creators with a final opportunity to complete their entries and ensure their work is considered for recognition at the regional awards.
