A new digital marketplace, ZAUMU, has been unveiled to connect local content creators and influencers directly with brands, addressing the growing demand for efficient influencer marketing solutions.
The platform aims to bridge the gap between creators and brands by enabling seamless collaboration and transparent campaign measurement.
According to Cedric Nzomo, co-founder of ZAUMU, 90% of digital projects intended for content creators and influencers are stalled due to trust deficits and lack of proper measurement tools.
“Brands subject projects to lengthy processes, and despite the importance of digital marketing, they often prefer traditional marketing due to transparency issues. For instance, the 200 billboards between Waiyaki Way and Nairobi CBD generated more revenue in 2024 than all Kenyan content creators combined,” He noted.
The platform addresses these challenges by offering several key features, including transparent job listings, streamlined contracting, secure communication, automated reporting, feedback systems, and AI-powered tools. These features ensure timely payments, intellectual property protection, and a reputation-building system for accountability.
Cedric emphasized, “Brands often struggle to find creators who align with their values, while creators face exploitation and payment delays. ZAUMU is designed to bridge this gap, offering a creator-focused, AI-driven solution tailored for Africa’s digital economy.”
With Kenya’s influencer marketing spend estimated at $2.5 million in 2023—far below its $25 million potential—ZAUMU seeks to unlock this untapped market. Cedric highlighted the platform’s potential, stating, “Content creation is a gateway to wealth for Gen Z and Millennials, but challenges like access and transparency have hindered growth. ZAUMU is here to change that.”
The platform is now available for free self-registration at https://zaumu.com/.
